Role Summary:
The Repair Development Engineer position provides technical repair support for products as part of the Repair Development team. The position is a role with a strong initial focus on internal repair quality, external defect investigation, and service event root cause analysis. Individual must be able to work autonomously. Individual must have a driving passion for improvement at the customer level.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Detecting root causes of failures across the entire service event
• Driving defect solution internally as well as externally
• Continuously improve repair part quality
• Strong business communication on reliability problem areas
• Reduce repair cost via the implementation of Lean concepts
• Anticipate and resolve obsolescence and repair sustainability issues

Qualifications/Requirements:
1. BS in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with minimum 5 years related experience
2. Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
3. Strong background in test development techniques and FMEA principles
4. Strong technical acumen and troubleshooting ability
5. Highly motivated, energetic, creative, and passion for quality
6. Electronics manufacturing process knowledge
7. Team player who easily adjusts to changing requests, schedules, and priorities
8. Collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment
9. Detailed Root Cause Analysis experience
10. Ability to troubleshoot complex electronics systems and circuits
11. Reliability tools and terms knowledge

Desired Characteristics:
1. Strong passion for quality, problem resolution, and drive to find root cause
2. Field engineering or manufacturing engineering system level testing experience
3. Strong oral and written communication skills
4. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
5. Proven ability to be a successful change agent
6. Lean Manufacturing experience
7. Greenbelt Certified
8. GE Healthcare Diagnostic Imaging product knowledge
9. Knowledge of FDA, MDD (Medical Devices Directive), ISO regulations and guidelines.
10. Project management experience
