Role Summary:
Reporting to the GMS Europe-MENAT Pole Leader, you will manage a team of GMS Process Analysts within Switzerland to ensure high quality delivery of services and compliance in all operations across the country. Identify trends and/or continuous process improvements, and take ownership for all programs/processes in Switzerland. Leverage expertise to work collaboratively across internal teams and with GE businesses to insure maximum effectiveness and efficiency.

Essential Responsibilities:
Within Switzerland:
  • Lead a local Swiss team responsible for delivery of GME services across the full Expat assignment lifecycle, including support for on-boarding, immigration, relocation, payroll, tax and social security; instil “Best in Class” Customer Service culture
  • Drive operational performance and productivity, leveraging metrics, outsourcing, lean initiatives, and innovative process solutions to ensure compliance, controllership and service excellence
  • Develop effective relationships with customers and key stakeholders in the Swiss businesses to ensure understanding of customer needs and drivers
  • Provide supplier management for Switzerland with the GMS global selected vendors; measure performance and develop/maintain proper service level agreements to insure performance and drive metrics management
  • Establish a working relationship with senior GME business executives inbound/outbound to/from Switzerland
  • Facilitate team training and experiences that will develop process expertise
  • Provide your team members work direction, coaching, performance reviews, and all other relevant people management processes
  • Drive GE’s high standards of ethics and compliance within your team

  • A solid experience in Expatriate Management and/or Payroll & Benefits
  • HR Operations with a broad understanding of operational activities

Desired Characteristics:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a concentration in Business or Human Resources
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Previous experience in expatriate payroll or expatriate tax
  • Demonstrated success in project management or process improvement
  • Ability to drive and manage change in complex remote and matrix environments across functions and across the region
  • Proven experience building positive relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to execute both service delivery and process improvement in an environment of ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Fluent in German and English with strong written and verbal communication skills
