Role Summary: Performs assignments in support of GEHC product repair. A Repair Technician is responsible for repairing and refurbishing used GEHC products at the GEHC facility. This may include, but is not limited to repairing, testing and delivering repairable parts to a Global Parts Organization GPO. Key interfaces include Engineering to evaluate product design and Sourcing/Planning to forecast delivery.
Essential Responsibilities: • Repair used GEHC products at the GEHC facility • Refurbish GEHC products so they meets Quality standards • Repair and test repairable spare parts for delivery to GPO • Construct and assist in evaluating product design • Provide evaluation and constructive feedback to engineering • Provide strong individual contributions in the context of achieving team goals • Comply with EHS regulations and policies, including but not limited to industrial hygiene and chemicals
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required 4. Training: Aware of and comply with GEHC training requirements 5. Knowledge and understanding of repair process and work instructions and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to it’s specification. 6. Aware of and comply with Stop Order, Concessions, ESD, Calibration, Preventative Maintenance, Material Identification & Segregation, and Good Documentation Practices, as associated with this job type/position
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Proficiency to logically troubleshoot at subsystem and system level, using identifiable problem solving techniques 2. Ability to draw accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations, and assist with corrections to the existing design or process
Desired Characteristics: 1. High School diploma (or local equivalent) and 6 months of technical experience 2. Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information
