Role Summary:
To lead thermodynamics analysis and optimization for the steam turbine and plant cycle as required for project execution for New Steam Turbines

Essential Responsibilities:
Tasks & Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
 To lead the tenders and projects for turbine and cycle thermodynamics
 To provide turbine and cycle performance guarantees for tenders.
 Lead performance risk mitigating activities during various phases of tender and project execution.
 To carryout techno-commercial studies to provide optimized solution for each tender.
 Create heat balances for the thermal cycle for tender and project execution requirements.
 Design and optimize steam path for the turbine modules as per the project requirement.
 To provide technical inputs to NPI & NTI team for India specific development
 To carry out thermodynamic tasks in accordance to applicable rules, regulations, codes and standards.
 Ensure adherence to quality policies, procedures and directives.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Degree in engineering – Mechanical (Strong thermodynamics fundamentals)
At least 5 years of experience in steam turbine engineering
Strong knowledge of turbine steampath design, heat balances and cycle equipment like heaters, condenser, pumps etc
Good understanding of various plant operation modes of turbine / plant i.e bypass operations, startups houseload and other transients.
Good understanding of steam turbine loss models and cycle performance.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to influence others and lead small teams. Effective problem identification and solution skills.

Desired Characteristics:
Master in Technology – Thermal Engineering
6 years related experience in Steam turbine steam path design and performance assessment.
Experience in PG test
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to influence others and lead small teams. Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Effective problem identification and solution skills.
