Role Summary:
The Materials Quality Leader will be responsible for the processes associated with the supply of materials to Assembly and Test facilities throughout GE Aviation Supply Chain. This role requires seasoned and deep understanding of quality, materials, manufacturing and logistics concepts, to drive process rigor and consistency. The successful candidate has expertise on the level of quality and material logistics in a world-class organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition you will :


  • Serve as the Value Stream's focal point for Quality with customers, headquarters, and auditors
  • Provide Quality flow-down and communication in a multi-site global foot print
  • Lead a national team of quality experts, including the recruitment, selection, development, and promotion of the team
  • Execute strategies related to quality assurance and quality control of materials logistics, products, services, and manufacturing processes
  • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma tools to monitor and drive all process improvement activities
  • Drive preventive and corrective actions to assure compliance to specifications
  • Ensure that products and services perform according to quality standards and that manufacturing processes are capable and qualified
  • Solve issues and develop new solutions through pro-active approach and partnership in support of the Materials VS
  • Present product / program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders (EB and SEB) across GE
  • Communicate recommendations and solutions across direct organization and with cross-functional partner organizations
  • Be involved in complex decision making sometimes with external parties

    Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality and Logistics

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Working experience in a regulated environment, including FAA regulated
  • Ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment
  • Working understanding of a logistics environment
  • Working level understanding of the GE Aviation Production System and Quality Improvement Plans
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills
