Role Summary: The NDT Engineer will deliver and establish NDE techniques for the composites and potentially other value streams that meet quality system requirements. You will manage complex issues within the area of expertise, be a key contributor to long-term planning and contribute to the overall business strategy.
In addition you will :
Execute and provide guidance for the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements
Define and develop product processes related to design, analysis, test, materials, manufacture, quality and / or productivity
Identify need for technical and program reviews within the organization, lead and participate in the technical reviews
Demonstrated ability to monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules and contract commitments, develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years experience in Non-destructive testing).
A minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing, quality or research.
Level 3 or greater NDE certification for X-ray / Digital Radiography
Functional knowledge of VGStudio and Avizo CT data reviewing tools
A minimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering position
Ability to guide and influence others
In-depth understanding of engineering technology and tools
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Experience in a non-destructive testing environment
Experience with aviation quality requirements
