Role Summary:
GE seeks a strong AP Analyst candidate to drive functional support for IT Payable Process across multiple Oracle. The Analyst would be responsible for the day to day support and associated project work for all aspects of Payable ERP footprint along with knowledge in other modules (AP, PO, GL, CM) with 11i and R12 Oracle ERP experience. The Analyst is expected to leverage prior knowledge and experience and also be hands on.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Experience in Oracle E-Business Suite Applications in the areas of Payable/Accounts/Finance.
  • Expertise in the AIM Methodology, Documentation, Configuration of Applications, Testing, End-User Training and Supporting for Oracle Financials R12/11i GL, AP, AR, CM, and FA modules.
  • Participated in multiple Oracle apps 11i implementations in multi org/multi currency scenarios and worked in the areas of Payables/GL etc.
  • Working Knowledge in P2P Cycle.
  • Support GE’s AP process and platform (APEX) from a daily operations perspective, providing technical support of the environment, managing issues and implementing changes.
  • Proactively seeks continuous improvement in Oracle functional application capabilities and technical or report performance to enhance process efficiency and user experiences.
  • Should be well versed with the period closing process along with period closing issues.
  • Work with Oracle SR and drive the Issues to closure.
  • Interface/Co-ordinate with functional leadership, key stakeholders, and Corporate teams working as a business partner to evaluate, simplify, and improve business processes.
  • Partner with IT Operation leaders for the Finance team on key Simplification & Growth initiatives to drive the overall strategy
  • Support APEX (AP Extension) platform both from a daily operations and a project perspective, providing technical support of the environment, managing issues, implementing changes, liaising with Finance team on new requirements.
  • Lead the requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of APEX system solutions & ensure business-wide standards
  • Develop functional specifications as per AIM documentation.
  • Follow project rigor and process, applying Agile methodologies as appropriate
  • Maintain and apply current knowledge of information technology; keep abreast of new and emerging technologies and help determine if / how they can be used to add value to the business



Qualifications/Requirements:
  • MBA in Finance / CA or Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent degree
  • 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Financial Functional Consultant in full-fledged support and involved in end-to-end implementation projects.
  • Having knowledge on Oracle Financial like Accounts Payables, General Ledger, SLA (Sub ledger Accounting), Purchase Order etc

  • Experience working with Oracle financial systems and cross-business teams
  • Good knowledge on any Banking Application and Payment process
  • Strong leadership & organizational skills with proven ability to partner closely with finance team to drive ongoing improvements
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Process oriented, results, quality and cost driven
  • Experience working in a global environment with offshore support teams
  • Ability & desire to remain current with technologies as well as their application in the business function
  • Understands, promotes and adheres to IT security/SOD and SoX compliance policies and processes
