Role Summary: As a technology leader of our power generation services business, the PS ST App/Req Engineer will lead & support all aspects of application and requisition engineering activities across the PS portfolio of products to propose and execute solutions that help customers enhance their power generation assets, fueling the profitable growth of our services business through innovative and differentiated solutions.
Role can be PB/LPB/SPB based on business decision.
Essential Responsibilities: • Lead steam turbines application and requisition for projects, owning all aspects of technical proposals and requisition activities, including on-time-delivery and reduction of cycle times among others. • Own the engineering support to respond to internal and external customer requests for technical information, ensuring the timely presentation and execution of solutions. • Support business efforts to drive ITO excellence, embracing the use of technical knowledge, analytical tools and market intelligence to expand the market penetration of our solutions and drive a continuous improvement of our win-rates. • Lead efforts to simplify application and requisition processes and tools, utilizing lean and fast works tools and techniques to drive cross-functional business productivity. • Understand and translate market requirements and dynamics to drive value selling and promote NPI/NTI plans. Lead the communication of technical information with customers through meetings and presentations in industry related conferences. • Embrace and drive a culture of continuous quality improvement, working in a boundary-less fashion and fostering the early detection of quality issues and risks as well as promoting lean processes that drive fulfillment excellence.
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor of Science in Engineering • At least 5 additional years of experience in an engineering capacity or likewise as a field engineer or other technical roles • Extensive experience with power plant design and upgrades, including system analysis and testing • Experience successfully communicating with senior executives, both verbally and in writing • Ability to understand, define and communicate interrelationships between component design and system performance
