Role Summary: The Inventory Leader role is a critical role within the Global Supply Chain. The Inventory Leader owns the Physical Inventory in the plant and the system setups that allow for accurate accounting of materials. The Inventory Leader also owns understanding where improvements can be made and creation of an improvement roadmap that ties to business improvement goals. The Inventory Leader leads the execution of the roadmap including driving specific projects to closure.
Essential Responsibilities: 1. Manage physical inventory layout for efficient picking of material 2. Manage all part setups that allow for accurate accounting of material 3. Oversee cycle count program and root cause identification of inaccuracies 4. Meet and maintain all inventory accuracy goals 5. Implement and maintain equipment and technologies that enable efficient warehouse operations 6. Key participant in yearly physical inventory activities 7. Serve as backup to and develop understanding of quarterly inventory estimating process 8. Plan warehouse space for all new product introductions 9. Creation of inventory improvement funnel and associated inventory roadmap 10. Execution of inventory roadmap 11. Leading specific inventory projects and project teams 12. Collaboration with COE on business wide process or projects
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Bachelors Degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years operations experience 2. 2+ years experience working in a matrix or cross functional environment 3. 2+ years experience with advanced data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel 4. 2+ years experience with Oracle Inventory Module
Desired Characteristics: 1. Engineering or operations bachelor’s degree 2. Experience interfacing and presenting to senior leadership 3. Demonstrated ability to drive and manage change initiatives in a global and cross functional environment 4. OMLP graduate
