Role Summary: Responsible for deployment of Marine Digital solutions to ensure successful customer adoption. The scope of responsibility spans customer-deployment-start to customer-benefits-realization.
Essential Responsibilities: Customer engagement may be a continuous model of starting with a pilot and expanding to fleet-level in phases. In each phase, you are expected to create and execute project plans to ensure customer success within prescribed schedule and GE cost structure. You will coordinate a global team of application engineers, software engineers and domain experts to deploy software for customer success.
You should be familiar with managing projects and programs which combine software, off-the-shelf hardware, and IT/Security infrastructure. You should also be familiar with managing software projects based on platforms and comfortable coordinating integration efforts across GE businesses whose solutions may be synergistic to Marine digital solutions.
Create executable project plans for each customer success with customer and GE responsibilities/dependencies clearly defined (preferably from a leverageable template)
Ensure active collaboration with customer for progress on project plan
Monitor, control and report progress of projects as needed by GE/customer operational rhythm
Manage project cost, schedule, and performance
Manage risks and ensure resolution proactively
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum 7 years experience in related software projects management, particularly customer deployment oriented
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
PMP certification a plus
Hands-on use/knowledge of Primavera a plus
Successful track record of managing new software deployment at customer sites (in person or remotely)
Ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the customer organization
Ability to bring together multiple functions (R&D, Marketing, Quality, etc.) as a cohesive team
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Degree or background that allows you to understand engineering problems and trade-offs
Experience in industrial software projects management
