Role Summary: The Commercial Contract Specialist, under the guidance of a the USCAN Commercial Contracting Manager, is responsible for drafting and, where appropriate, reviewing agreements including customer sales contracts, contract amendments, supplier purchase and sale agreements and confidentiality and consultant agreements as well as responding to customer request for proposals (RFPs). Works closely with company sales, service and sourcing teams as well as customers, business managers and attorneys.
Draft, review and negotiate legal documents such as but not limited to Request for Proposals (RFP), customer sales contracts, amendments, Non Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and contract renewals
Manage contract clause libraries and contract databases
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Work closely with proposal center team members/key stakeholders to develop best practices for proposal and contracts content and process; participate in Voice of Customer (VOC) gathering and benchmarking
Consistently demonstrate understanding and accurate interpretation of GE and customer’s terms and conditions and the implications/risks associated with such terms and conditions
Monthly review and remediation of 5.0 violations
Ensure timely review of all assigned internal workflows; consistently demonstrate understanding of workflow status
Managing the contract approval process to meet/exceed business cycle time requirements.
Prior work experience or education on contract drafting and negotiation
Demonstrated experience in prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast paced environment.
Ability to communicate using English and outstanding interpersonal skills
Juris Doctorate degree or prior business law experience in a similar role in a large law firm or corporate legal department.
Experience of the Healthcare industry and previous exposure to medical industry regulations (FDA, Medicare/Medicaid anti-kickback)
