Role Summary: The Digital Conversion Technician will perform diversified duties required to test and calibrate Digital Radiography (DR) Detectors, Computed Radiography (CR) Scanners, and Film Scanners. The technician will also be required to integrate the DR and CR equipment with customer selected computer, computer accessories, and software into a functional Field Radiography System. In certain circumstances you may be required to troubleshoot and repair non-conforming product.
Essential Responsibilities: You must be able to read and understand diagnostic data and work within limits of prescribed procedures. You will also work from specifications, technical manuals, schematics and written/verbal instruction. You are require to compile and record, and save all test results. The Digital Conversion Technician may also devise procedures, plan their own work sequences and perform complex test operations.
In the role of Digital Conversion Technician, you will:
Test, troubleshoot and repair X-ray technology while maintaining strong customer relationships
Calibrate and prepare products for shipping
Maintain documentation for each instrument under test
Work within ISO 9001 guidelines
Assist in the development and improvement of procedures associated documentation
Own inventory control within assigned work center
Continually look to improve the process and develop a better way
Keep work center clean and orderly
Interface with customer care, sales and customers on an as required basis to ensure customer satisfaction and product quality
Help support other work cells as needed
Uphold all company policies
Perform all other duties as assigned
High school diploma/GED from an accredited school or institution
Minimum 3 years of experience in assembly and test of electronic equipment
Ability and willingness to pass and maintain X-ray Operator Certification
Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
Ability and willingness to work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
Ability and willingness to be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability and willingness to be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
Advanced computer skills / knowledge required to re-image and backup computer system
Experience working from assembly prints and schematics
Experience working with ERP System
Ability to work according to assembly and test procedures/methods in an ever changing environment
