Role Summary: The Field Service Technician will provide service to customers by installing, repairing, or removing gate valves, production valves and wellhead equipment according to blueprints and manufacturer’s instructions. The technician will apply knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical machinery.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Field Service Technician, you will:
Comply with all safety, health, environmental, and quality Management System requirements, policies, and procedures relevant to the position
Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements in respective areas of responsibility and / or location and monitor customer satisfaction
Prepare and submit written reports after each service job to the customer
Follow customer service orders as dispatched from Service Manager
Complete necessary paperwork for invoicing, equipment identification / tracking, inventory control, and expense monitoring
Evaluate, assemble / disassemble, install & repair all types/brands of wellhead and frac equipment
Diagnose service problems and recommend or implement appropriate solutions
Ensure periodic maintenance and repairs to Company vehicle consistent with Company policy
Maintain Company vehicle with necessary tools and equipment to perform service jobs
Operate Company vehicle in compliance with applicable Company policy and / or applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which the vehicle is operated
Adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
Provide input and assistance to other functional areas throughout assigned facility and / or region in order to improve processes and customer satisfaction levels
High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
Minimum 3 years of experience in wellhead or valve equipment or oil field service
Ability and willingness to work “on-call” 24/7 – an essential duty
Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a Class A CDL license, when required by state law or when towing test unit trailer
Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
Ability and willingness to be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
Ability and willingness to operate a torque unit, test pump, mechanical casing saw and cutting torch if required to complete a job task
Ability and willingness to work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
Ability and willingness to be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time

Field Equipment Repair without Assistance; Equipment Troubleshooting (GEPC & OEM Equipment); New GEPC Product Installation; Equipment Problem Solving; Customer Service Best Practices; Mentoring and Training
Intermediate computer skills
Intermediate language skills, intermediate mathematical skills and intermediate reasoning ability
Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
