Has primary regional responsibility over tax planning matters linked to all commercial deals in the Latin America region for all Oil and Gas Product Companies with principle operations in Venezuela, Argentina, Chile Colombia,Ecuador & Peru.
•Partner with Commercial Directors and Regional Sales Leaders to drive clear, concise and tax compliant policy, being a single focal point of contact for commercial teams.
•Partner with Commercial Finance organization to provide a “tax bridge” from ITO to OTR and all contract amendments and change orders influencing tax relevant T&C’s.
•Partner with FSE global markets to develop tax efficient financing strategies for the O&G customers.
•Partner with International Global Operations, Corporate Tax & Customs CoE to align contracting T&C’s with customs and duties in the region.
•Drive standard permanent establishment positions across the O&G businesses portfolios, including a single point of contact with for ITO, OTR & entire Commercial Operations Teams.
•Align VAT & WHT compliance requirements with contract T&C’s while driving simplification focus on structure and process.
•Be the bridge for controllership, treasury, legal and tax with respect to contracting structures to drive simplification and savings.
•Maximize transfer-pricing policies with proper contracting and legal entity structures.
•Bachelor degree preferably in accounting or law with strong experience in commercial tax support.
•Very strong tax experience in the region (5/7 years).
•Fluency in English & Spanish (verbal and written).
•Argentina Work Permit.
•Strong academic credentials from accredited four-year institution of higher learning with undergraduate or post-graduate degree and significant academic focus on international taxation.
•Ability to evaluate complex proposals and anticipate, identify, and resolve tax-related risks and opportunities.
•Strong Tax expertise in the Andean Region and Latam as well.
•Tax expertise on Central America countries would be a plus.
•Availability to travel in the region 20% - 30% of the time.
•Good project management skills.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
•High moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions communications, and actions
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate complex issues in a clear/concise manner.
•Strong analytical skills.
•Successfully lead projects within business functions.
•Able to quickly grasp new ideas.
