Role Summary: Hospital Technology Planner (HTP) will be responsible for integrating our technology planning & design solutions offering into the successful development of new projects.
HTP will be responsible for the following: • Development of Medical Equipment Plans for Healthcare Facilities – specifically technology rich departments. • Design Advisory customers on their technology plans. • Supporting Projects Development team to develop comprehensive equipping solutions for clients.
Essential Responsibilities: • HTP will report to Director, Solutions, ASEAN (Solutions Director) and will work under the guidance of the SHS Technology Planning & Design Advisory Leader (Senior SHS HTP) (dotted line reporting). • Assist in design and assessment of appropriate medical equipment plans, definition of the non-GE equipment within turnkey equipping solutions and recommendation on healthcare facility layout & workflow optimization for technology rich areas. • Working under the guidance of the Senior SHS HTP and in collaboration with the Solutions Director, Project Development Manager(s) and the local teams to establish strong ties and credibility with the clinical decision makers of the customer's team by bringing clinical & technological expertise. • Contribute to the commercial success with our hospital planning, technology planning and clinical department solution offerings to optimize the use of GE Healthcare products establishing GEHC as the "Preferred Partner" at early stage of the project. • Contribute to establish GE Healthcare ASEAN as Technology Partner for hospital projects. • At early design stages, advise and analyse the customer needs, design medical equipping plans (equipment selections, department by department, room by room, BoQ, Specs) using the GE hospital technology planning tools. Those solutions shall consist of GE and non-GE equipment to provide a comprehensive solution. • In conjunction with the Senior SHS HTP, validate the architectural designs by providing a Drawing assessment in accordance with drawing assessment checklist on the architectural layout provided by the customer's architect. As needed coordinate the elevation of key room/ departments to 3D, to better enable client understanding. Bringing in Senior SHS HTP where expert opinion is required. • Design of medical equipment advisory plans, when required, for the departments where several GE Healthcare equipment can be found. These shall typically be the Diagnostic Imaging Dept., ICI, CCU, NICU, Emergency, Operating Theatres etc. Bringing in Senior SHS HTP where expert opinion is required. • In conjunction with Senior SHS HTP act as a conduit for subject matter expertise on clinical, technology planning and design advisory issues. • Provide continuous feedback and improvement on the required tools and processes used for planning and designing medical equipment plans. • Fully understand the breadth of the relevant product/solutions offering to represent the full spectrum of available structures.
Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant healthcare experience. Preferably biomedical or clinical engineering degree. • Knowledge and experience with Windows-based planning software. Planning experience is preferred. • Understanding of healthcare policies and trends. • Good customer communication skills • Consultative selling skills • Client presentation skills • Project Management skills • Team player
