Role Summary:


The Senior Technical Product Manager will partner with a diverse set of stakeholders to provide technology solutions for the secure military environments.

They will serve as subject matter experts for the technologies they support, and will lead the implementation and lifecycle management for those technologies.

They will work with customers and stakeholders to ensure that business objectives are met.



Essential Responsibilities:


Set strategy for their technology domains within the secure military environments.

Work with architects on multi-generational technology plans, and own delivery of technology solutions.

Plan and execute major technology refreshes and upgrades. Lead design and testing of new technologies; partner with technical product architecture team and operations team to transition into the environment, operationalize, and lifecycle manage.

Work with operations and architecture teams to manage capacity, performance, and availability; support efforts to improve these through performance tuning, capacity additions, redesign, etc.

Support operations as an L2/L3 escalation point and subject matter expert. Manage vendor and external stakeholder relationships.

Inputs and influence over decisions within own discipline and area; developed strong communication and diplomacy skills; communicates recommendations and solutions across direct organization and with cross-functional partner organizations; primary focus is within the direct organization / function.

Presents project plans, technical roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders (EB and SEB) within technical space and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teams.

Complex decision making ability; influences decision making with external parties; deep technical expertise within field of Information Technology; viewed internally and externally as a specialist within the discipline.



Qualifications/Requirements:


Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Information Technology). Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in IT Service Management.

Must be able to successfully obtain a US Government TOP SECRET security clearance

  • Experience with a diverse set of IT technologies across the technology stack (infrastructure, platforms, applications, software, etc.), and broad familiarity with IT technology and industry trends.
  • Deep expertise in one or two core IT technologies (infrastructure, Windows, Linux, virtualization, etc.)
  • Experience working with external customers, especially in the defense industry.
  • Experience with customer and stakeholder negotiations, and demonstrated ability to balance conflicting priorities to find mutually-beneficial solutions.
