Role Summary:
As a Commercial Platform Specialist you will be supporting Commercial Excellence team to execute critical global initiatives to transform GE O&G Commercial platforms into a best in class digital experience.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of O&G Commercial Platforms Specialist you will:

  • Support in executing the GEOG Commercial Digital Platform strategy
  • Play the role of a design leader – digitizing and automating global, enterprise-wide complex processes into modern, consumer-grade experiences
  • Partner with Commercial SWAT Excellence team members to execute on strategic projects that have been sponsored by the Chief Commercial Officer & Commercial Excellence Leader
  • Partner with product companies to lead the analysis, requirement development, design, documentation and implementation of digital platform updates to cater business needs
  • Design and implement data governance policies and procedures
  • Implement digital platform solutions in conformance with data governance policies and procedures
  • Conduct required data analysis, audits & quality reviews to ensure the assigned digital platforms’ compliance with data governance policies & procedures
  • Establish and Safeguard the accuracy and completeness of the GEOG Commercial Data held in the Commercial Digital Platforms
  • Be responsible to establish and maintain detailed system design documentation for the assigned digital platforms
  • Support the business data requests as necessary for Commercial Council metrics, Audit Staff engagements, and operation review with the global ITO Leadership Team updates
  • Multi-faceted role with responsibilities that will evolve to align to current business objectives

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 6 years of experience including commercial operations, project management, operations, governance, and process improvement
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in areas of Data Analytics / Data audit & governance fields

  • Oil and Gas industry expertise
  • Experience with Salesforce.com CRM tools and data visualization software (i.e. Seismic, Tableau)
  • Experience with IT Systems / Data Governance audits
  • PC proficiency (Excel, Power Point, Word, and Access)
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Strong process and analytical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with Senior Management
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proven coordination and influencing skills in global environment
  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and delivering results
  • Proven advanced skills in Data Analytics tools including Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in working in cross functional / matrix structure teams
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business vision into tactical execution and deliver results
  • Launched digital solutions which portrayed digital savviness with contemporary design thinking
  • Implemented successful business digital solutions which portrayed a process mindset and deep understanding of data structures
  • Demonstrated expertise in data visualization and storytelling to translate complex data into customer insight
  • All US locations will be considered for this position
