Role Summary: The Plant Human Resources Manager will be responsible for providing the full scope of HR advice, guidance, and support across the Plant population in one of GE Aviation's largest manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will partner with the Hooksett Leadership team to plan and execute strategies that ensure maximum engagement of employees.
Provide leadership and expertise for the full scope of Human Resource (HR) functions including all aspects of professional relations, hourly relations, employee benefits, compensation, employee involvement, practices, training, organizational change and development and communications for a client group(s)
Perform a leadership role in recruiting, selection, performance management, and career development, including high volume hourly hiring for a new site
Consult with the clients to define roles/missions and design the organizational structure to support a critical NPI ramp-up
Lead and facilitate change efforts for the site as it transitions into a Lean production site with a teaming culture
Provide counsel in the design and implementation of compensation and recognition programs
Provide support or deliver training on a variety of Human Resources topics including interviewing and EEO compliance
Conduct annual reviews of organizational design
Facilitate communications throughout the organization including employee attitude surveys
Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment
Develop appropriate Human Resource plans in support of key business needs in a dynamic, changing environment and develop and implement appropriate change management plans
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Employee Human Resource Management
Master’s degree in Human Resources from an accredited college or university
GE HRLP Graduate or graduate of a similar program
Prior experience leading a team of professionals
HR leadership experience at a manufacturing site
Enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels
Comfortable with high volume workload and able to manage multiple priorities
Not afraid to "roll up your sleeves" and get involved in details
Strong internal and external customer service focus, with a genuine desire to assist others
Strong project management and complex problem-solving skills
Strong presentation skills and facilitation experience needed to effectively deliver a variety of HR-related training programs to groups of managers/colleagues
