Role Summary: Position is primary point of contact for client group leaders, provides expertise and guidance in the areas of culture and change management, strategic coaching, talent assessment and development, succession planning, performance management, and organizational design. Role is critical in developing and executing HR strategy in support of client’s business objectives and is a connected partner for business leaders. Typically supports a client group of 1000+ employees with high complexity.
Essential Responsibilities: Longer average tenure is expected for this role as the work performed by the HRBP requires deep expertise in the P&L/Function. Key Responsibilities: 1. Partner with client managers to develop and execute both long-term and short-term HR strategies that directly support and enable business objectives 2. Partner with client managers to develop and embed a contemporary organizational culture, and leverage change acceleration techniques to assist in driving broad change 3. Act as an organizational coach, who builds organizational capabilities, reduces complexity and partners with clients to maximize team performance 4. Strategically collaborate with client managers to design and implement the most effective organizational structures 5. Provide timely, effective and direct coaching to client group managers, assisting in the development of world class, contemporary leadership skills 6. Manage professional-level HR team members as appropriate 7. Provide strategic coaching to key employees as related to succession planning, career path development, and performance management 8. Lead talent assessment in the organization, identifying key employee strengths and development needs in order to select, retain and develop key talent 9. Lead succession planning and talent development strategies for the organization, identifying critical roles and preparing potential talent and pipelines for mentoring, training, etc. 10. Lead client groups through critical HR operating rhythms such as Session C, salary planning and performance management, leveraging assistance from the HRM as appropriate 11. Develop and drive strategies to attract, develop, engage and retain strong and diverse talent 12. Work with leaders and employees to create a positive and engaging work environment 13. Partner with HR Managers/Generalists, assigning and delegating fundamental HR activities in order to focus on strategic organizational and employee development strategies 14. Provide HR Managers/Generalists with appropriate coaching, mentoring and development
Qualifications/Requirements: Quality Specific Goals: 1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines. 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required. 4. Ensure client managers establish a commitment to quality and communicate the importance of meeting statutory, regulatory and customer requirements. Ensure management ensures quality policy is understood, implemented and maintained at all levels of the organization. Ensure management has established and communicated quality objectives that are measurable and consistent with the quality policy. 5. Advise management with "Executive Responsibility" of the appropriateness or otherwise of organizational structures ref 21CFR820.20. 6. Ensure client groups maintain adequate organizational structure and adequate resources of sufficiently trained personnel. Ensure appropriate responsibility, independence and authority of all personnel who manage, perform and assess work affecting quality. Document and provide sufficient objective evidence of the assigned personnel via an accurate and up to date org chart. Ensure qualified personnel based on documentation of education, background, training and experience relative to the employees assigned responsibilities. 7. Awareness, understanding and implementation of HR related quality compliance guidelines, work instructions, and/or procedures… such as: org charts, job descriptions, training records. 8. Assist in identifying training needs and ensure that personnel are trained adequately to perform their assigned responsibilities. Ensure training is documented.
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university 2. Minimum of 9 years of previous experience in a variety of Human Resource positions with increasing scope 3. Demonstrated experience in making strategic HR decisions, assessing leadership talent and effectively interfacing with high-level business and operations leaders 4. Broad and comprehensive understanding of HR concepts and principles gained through formal education and substantial work experience 5. Developed (oral and written) communication and diplomacy skill set with the ability to negotiate and influence at a high level both internally and externally
Desired Characteristics: Preferred Qualifications: 1. Advanced Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or related field 2. HRLP (Human Resources Leadership Program) graduate 3. Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to assess complex situations using multiple sources of information 4. Coaching and leadership assessment experience 5. Strategic mindset and strong business acumen including an understanding of customer and commercial strategies 6. Ability to work in changing environments, see through complexity and strategically promote an inclusive/diverse workforce 7. Experience leading, energizing and managing HR related work & people in a complex, matrixed, goal-driven environment 8. Demonstrated ability to drive the HR strategic agenda using knowledge of the organization and its employees 9. Capable of handling multiple issues and/or projects simultaneously and executing to completion 10. Demonstrated ability to work in a demanding, high performance work environment and team- oriented culture 11. Excellent collaboration, influencing, project management, organizational and change agent skills 12. Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement 13. Sound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirements
