Role Summary: As Senior Analytics Engineer, GE Oil & Gas Digital, this role will focus on developing impactful and innovative digital products. The candidate will be responsible for developing models and designing analytics for core products and solutions, leverage strong engineering expertise to develop new analytics for driving growth in asset, application & industry coverage and lead engagements with external/internal customers.
Essential Responsibilities: • Leverage strong engineering knowledge for building models and to develop new optimization algorithms. Engage technical experts across the business for knowledge capture into the solution. • Implement and validate algorithms • Deliver new commercially re-usable analytics that meet quality standards to drive growth in asset, application & industry coverage. • Should be able to influence from a technical standpoint across the function and business. Ability to influence at the peer level is key. • Optimize and define new processes and tools, to enable large scale enterprise-grade analytics development. • Deliver core product requirements to Product Management, Software Engineering & UX Design.
Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications: • Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering • Minimum work experience of 5 years • Able to communicate technical details with clarity to various stakeholders

Technical Expertise: • Strong technical background in Modeling (first principles, numerical), Simulation and Optimization. • Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, C/C++ or Python • Knowledge of Estimation Theory is a plus
Business Acumen: • Strong business analysis and problem solving skills • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other GE businesses
Leadership: • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to help build effective analytic solutions • Strong oral and written communication skills
