Role Summary: Procurement and delivery to the storage facility or production departments within GE Power of raw materials, parts, consumables, spare parts, machinery, equipment and services necessary for the performance of company activities, per the requirements of internal department.
Negotiate pricing and payment terms on all purchase requisition volume assuring most competitive pricing is achieved without sacrificing quality or fulfillment needs of repair facility
Deliver cost savings to targets on po volume, and 100% compliance to no po no pay and competitive bidding policies
Develop supply agreements and master services agreements with strategic suppliers in collaboration with grs, power and ggo strategic sourcing teams to assure robust supply chain is established with best cost, fulfillment and commercial terms
Manage all aspects of supplier performance including purchase order pricing, po placement, and po acceptance, supplier promise date commitment, delivery confirmation and payment issuance
Maintain minimum 97% on time to original promise date and zero on hold invoices
Collaborate closely with grs operations and engineering teams to define/assign appropriate part numbers during product BOM/service definition phase of purchase requisition development
Engage in BOM reviews to assure clear understanding of sourced work scope to support rfq/supplier negotiation process
Higher education in engineering
Experience in procurement of direct materials
Good knowledge of commercial and financial terms
Knowledge of mechanical and electric equipment, insulation and protection materials, tools and consumables.
SAP (PMX) or Oracle, other ERP systems/platforms and/or high level of ERP aptitude.
Good level of English language and Romanian language
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including ability to quickly assess technical requirements and translate to supplier technical capabilities
Flexibility to work extended working hours/days during outage seasons, requiring presence at services facility.
Technical expertise/experience with Power Generation equipment. Steam Turbine, Gas Turbine, Generator, Valves, Bearings.
Experience developing commercial contracts/ Supply Agreements and Master Services agreements with external suppliers including embedded service level and cycle time requirements.

Ability to work independently, motivate and influence in a cross-functional, multi-site, team environment
