Role Summary: Description: The Service Parts Supply Support Specialist is responsible for supporting global SPSM processes & part planning including tubes planning. The goal is to provide proactive support to the team and ensure timely reporting. The role will also be instrumental in identifying further simplification opportunities in existing support processes. The support specialist will be interacting with cross functional teams and SPSM team situated all across globe & working in required time zone.
Essential Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include: • Global distribution of Tubes to support fulfillment and OOPs Metrics. • Drive Past Due Order clean up globally. • Support product hold and rework process globally for SPSM. • Support pro-active rebalancing of parts across the global network when parts are unhealthy. • Support stock purge process for SPSM globally • Support Dummy supplier clean up activity. • Derive Projects to improve productivity. • Support/Derive Process simplification projects . • SPSM Reporting, provide manual supporting to the team on daily basis.
• Overall ownership of material ordering, availability, and scheduling targeting 2-week inventory levels, at a minimum • Oracle and Digital Cockpit expert • Ensure systemic accuracy of inventory • Rescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control) • Daily Shortage root cause investigation and resolution • Partner closely with suppliers focusing on: Packaging needs, min/max planning. PCNs, as they relate to old/existing parts, materials replenishment planning, root-cause problem solving, • Conduct daily walks on the floor and the receiving dock to investigate and resolve material issues • Support material transfers, supplier reviews w/Sourcing • Field Modification Instruction, as appropriate - ordering material, formulating schedules • Supplier visits, as needed - internal and external • Manage Phase In / Phase Out (NPI) to minimize obsolete material • Provide supply analysis data and recommendations as necessary • Assist in cycle count efforts as determined • Support tool development for prediction of material issues • Support all lean activities, initiatives, and action workouts
Qualifications/Requirements: Quality Specific Goals: 1. Aware of, and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required 4. Knowledge & understanding of production process work instructions & operates within them 5. Ensures the creation of accurate, complete and timely records and DHRs
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree or HS diploma & 5 yrs material experience or production scheduling 2. Computer proficiency 3. Working knowledge of MRP 4. Excellent Interpersonal Skills 5. Strong problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications: 1. APICS Certification 2. Oracle knowledge and experience 3. Six Sigma Green Belt
Desired Characteristics: Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years’ supply chain experience 2. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Access 3. Oracle ERP system proficiency
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 2. Ability to work in shifts (as needed). This will not be a daily occurrence.
