Role Summary: Provide technical leadership for the design, integration & implementation of equipment & software on the production floor particularly related to the electrical aspects of system design. Responsibilities include providing design elements, hands-on integration, documentation & floor support associated with safety, manufacturing & quality methods, tooling, & equipment. Aggressively initiate new processes and methods that will improve safety, reduce product cost and/or improve product quality.
Essential Responsibilities: • Ensuring regulatory compliance through Validation & Verification – Plan, execution and analysis with heavy emphasis on testers and other automated equipment. • Drive improved product quality by implementing cost-effective solutions of identified manufacturing issues. • Participate in new product introductions through equipment design, integration and validation processes. • Driving LEAN manufacturing implementation • Provide safe processes that comply with all local and federal regulations. Assure that corrective action is taken to resolve observed safety concerns in all areas. • Work with Production Associates to resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design. • Lead Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals • Driving LEAN manufacturing implementation • Provide safe processes that comply with all local and federal regulations. Assure that corrective action is taken to resolve observed safety concerns in all areas. • Experience with mechanical design and integration • Develop basic electrical design, schematics and drawings and interface with PCB manufacturer including develop electrical bill of materials • Interpret mechanical design drawings for electrical requirements (e.g. SolidWorks) • Research supplier products for assembly components • Help establish new and maintain existing standards • Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per application specifications • Design and develop software applications based on given requirements and specifications • Understand client requirements for GUI/communication interface, networking and create specifications based on these requirements • Review, repair and redesign legacy code including troubleshoot issues with existing company installed systems
Qualifications/Requirements: Qualifications: • B.S. Degree in Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related technical degree, or an Associates Degree and 3 years experience in production, engineering, or High School diploma with 5 years of experience in production, engineering • Good analytical and planning skills

Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Desired Characteristics: • M.S. Degree in Engineering • Demonstrated ability to identify & implement best practices. • Experience with 3D CAD modeling • Experience with CADence, AutoCAD(mechanical, electrical, INVENTOR), CREO • Experience with LabView programming • Light machine shop experience • Demonstrated ability to perform with high levels of ambiguity
