Role Summary:
Provide technical leadership for the design, integration & implementation of equipment & software on the production floor particularly related to the electrical aspects of system design. Responsibilities include providing design elements, hands-on integration, documentation & floor support associated with safety, manufacturing & quality methods, tooling, & equipment. Aggressively initiate new processes and methods that will improve safety, reduce product cost and/or improve product quality.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Ensuring regulatory compliance through Validation & Verification – Plan, execution and analysis with heavy emphasis on testers and other automated equipment.
• Drive improved product quality by implementing cost-effective solutions of identified manufacturing issues.
• Participate in new product introductions through equipment design, integration and validation processes.
• Driving LEAN manufacturing implementation
• Provide safe processes that comply with all local and federal regulations. Assure that corrective action is taken to resolve observed safety concerns in all areas.
• Work with Production Associates to resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design.
• Lead Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals
• Driving LEAN manufacturing implementation
• Provide safe processes that comply with all local and federal regulations. Assure that corrective action is taken to resolve observed safety concerns in all areas.
• Experience with mechanical design and integration
• Develop basic electrical design, schematics and drawings and interface with PCB manufacturer including develop electrical bill of materials
• Interpret mechanical design drawings for electrical requirements (e.g. SolidWorks)
• Research supplier products for assembly components
• Help establish new and maintain existing standards
• Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per application specifications
• Design and develop software applications based on given requirements and specifications
• Understand client requirements for GUI/communication interface, networking and create specifications based on these requirements
• Review, repair and redesign legacy code including troubleshoot issues with existing company installed systems

Qualifications/Requirements:
Qualifications:
• B.S. Degree in Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related technical degree, or an Associates Degree and 3 years experience in production, engineering, or High School diploma with 5 years of experience in production, engineering
• Good analytical and planning skills

Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Desired Characteristics:
• M.S. Degree in Engineering
• Demonstrated ability to identify & implement best practices.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling
• Experience with CADence, AutoCAD(mechanical, electrical, INVENTOR), CREO
• Experience with LabView programming
• Light machine shop experience
• Demonstrated ability to perform with high levels of ambiguity
