Role Summary: The main function of the Telecom Engineer will be to perform engineering activities (Both Design and commissioning) for the following range of equipment used to build the private telecommunication network used by the Power utilities: • SDH • PDH • Protection Signalling Equipment • Power line carrier Knowledge and experience in the below technologies is a definite Plus • IP Routers and Switches • PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange)
Essential Responsibilities: Technical Leadership for telecom projects assigned by the Operations Manager. •taking over inputs from tendering department and work closely with project manager for project execution tasks. •On time delivery of Engineering deliverables (Design, test procedures…) while maintaining Quality KPIs. •Conducting Factory acceptance testing. •Supervise the material installation on site. •Conduct the pre-testing as per the approved Site testing procedure. •Report the site progress and pending issues regularly. •Conduct the official Site acceptance tests with the presence of the End client.
Qualifications/Requirements: • Experience: o At least 5 years of experience in engineering of Telecommunication network (mainly site works) o Proven experience in an international context
• Knowledge / skills:: o Telecommunication technologies: Network architecture Strong knowledge on PLC, SDH, PDH technologies
