Role Summary: Field Service Engineer will be responsible in providing complete after-sales support on the Life Science product portfolio. This field based position will be focused at end users primarily based on the European-side of Istanbul and throughout Turkey, providing excellent technical service and sales projects. Accountable for developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships with end users, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining all equipment models specific to a modality.
Essential Responsibilities: -Planning and action of customer visits to maintain the safe operation of all relevant instruments in the assigned portfolio via pre-install, installation, qualification, repairs, maintenance, networking, troubleshooting of multi-symptom problems on hardware and software. Ordering and managing repair parts cycle times. -Leading role on the daily interface with customers on their equipment issues. Acts to ensure satisfaction of primary end users. Investigates customer needs, align with the regional service operations objectives. -Promote and develop the service business. Help advice and train others around you. Identify sales opportunities, support service quotation requests of customers and of the account team. Shares best practices. Managing vendors service delivery processes in compliance with GE Healthcare policies. -Work in GMP/GLP environments. Complete relevant onsite validation documentation. Follow quality systems and programs compliant with relevant ISO standards. --Meeting Health and Environment Health and Safety and/or other applicable regulatory requirements. -Experience using cloud based service job management, responsibly completes all documentation tasks on time. Ensures timely completion of field alert inspections and scheduled work at assigned accounts. Inventory and service equipment upkeep.
Quality Specific Goals: • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines. • Identify and report any and all customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization. • Ensure timely dispatch closure. Completion of all field modifications instructions (FMI’s) within prescribed timeframe (if applicable). • Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible.
Qualifications/Requirements: - Qualified to Degree level or equivalent work based experience (in laboratory, biotechnology, chemistry, electronic, networking & databases, industrial control systems) - Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner - Excellent local language communications and interpersonal skills - Proficiency in English - Plans and organises work effectively with the ability to work independently with minimum direction and cooperates with service team colleagues. - Strong customer facing skills, dealing tactfully and effectively with various issues - Valid driving licence - 60 to 80% in-country travel required, some overseas EMEA & USA travel expected
