Role Summary: Position Title: Technical Specialist- Process Lead
GE Business: GE Water & Process Technologies
Location: Oakville, ON Canada
Duration of Co-op/Internship: 12 months
Anticipated Start Date: May 2017

Essential Responsibilities: In this position, the ideal candidate will support the processes and applications used for the Water Services organization. Candidates need to have a general information technology background with competencies in programming, network administration, database management and business process management.
• Participate in development of new processes, and update existing processes
• Perform analysis and make recommendations for application optimization
• Map current/future processes
• Create Work Instructions
• Train Global users of industry software tools
• Host Global training sessions
• Problem solve business issues

• Able to map in Microsoft Visio or PowerPoint using “state machine” concept
• Familiar with SQL and database oriented software (Microsoft access)
• Familiar with Business Process Management principals
• Strong problem solving abilities and communication skills
• Able to work under minimal supervision
• Detail oriented and organized
• Multi-lingual skills an asset
University degree in course of completion in Engineering (Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Software, Systems), Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent related discipline.
This opportunity is intended for current students who will be returning to their in-class studies upon the completion of the work term. It is not intended for candidates who will have graduated prior to the start of this position.
