Role Summary:
The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining database components and tools for a complex, multi-tier product. Additionally, you will lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.

Essential Responsibilities:
As the Lead Manufacturing Engineer - Systems Domineering, you will:

  • Be responsible for implementation and release of database changes, including the following:
    • New objects creation and database design
    • Writing T-SQL code
    • SQL Server Stored Procedure design and development
    • T-SQL code review for performance
    • Indexing database tables
  • Define and implement database and/or platform supportability utilities
  • Define specifications and support instructions for maximizing availability and performance of the databases that support the system
  • Define and enforce database development standards for the engineering team
  • Troubleshoot and problem solving of SQL development
  • Develop and maintain data migration utilities between Oracle and Microsoft SQL
  • Track status and communicate progress effectively to Project Management
  • Provide necessary knowledge transfer to Support Organizations
  • Work in cross-functional project teams that include Product Development, Product Management and Services
  • Work with other product teams, partners and customers to understand requirements
  • Work with Services to support customer and trouble-shoot production issues
  • Areas of support include:
    • PLC programming
    • QC Data / early warning solutions
    • Engineering ITO / OTR data integrations
    • Engineering design configurator (HiRES) / ERP integration
    • Brilliant Factory sensor / QC data integration
    • MES Leader / data integrations
    • QC Data database administrator
    • QC Data solutions analyst



Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years experience in a Development or Production Database Engineer role
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Development or Production Database Engineer role


Desired Characteristics:
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory and Microsoft Windows Server
  • Demonstrated experience creating SQL scripts based on design specification
  • Demonstrated experience with triggers, stored procedures, views, and maintenance plans in an MS SQL environment
  • Demonstrated experience tuning and optimizing databases/applications by analyzing performance logs, profiler and other tools Demonstrated cross-experience with Oracle
  • Experience with user interface development in C#.NET
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams
  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability
