Role Summary:
As Executive Product Management Director, you'll own P&L and strategy for product portfolio in this high-profile, high-potential business segment. You'll build and mentor a team of high performance Product Managers to define and execute strategy, establish and achieve ambitious outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
  • Function as General Manager to form and lead an emerging product incubation team for Additive Manufacturing. Your team will define the business plan, create the product roadmap, identify and develop eco-system partnerships, test product concepts with customers, develop product bundles and define the commercial offering.
  • Have strong financial responsibility and accountability.
  • Be a strategist/expert across product management functions and knowledgeable in technical domain related to the portfolio.
  • Hire & manage team of product managers who are business and technical experts.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, internal/external customers, analysts, marketing, engineering and senior management teams to formulate and execute the strategy.
  • Be responsible for P&L (with targets for revenue, cost & contribution margin) and vision & strategy for the business segment. You will make sound investment decisions based on market opportunities, market trend, risks, competitive landscape and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with GE's Product and Engineering teams to ensure consistent execution of product plans that result in product delivery on time, on budget
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure go-to-market strategies, plans and activities are aligned with the company's business drivers
  • Have dotted line / cross functional management of other leaders across functional teams will be common to realize the vision and strategy.
  • Will engage customers at CxO/executive to present vision/strategy, understand the needs/trend, influence the customer decisions and build trust & relationship


Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in technical majors
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in the software industry (or airport operations for that role)
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Product Management/Strategy functions
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in technical & customer facing roles with proven track record
  • A Minimum of 5 years of strong people management in hiring, mentoring and enabling product management team to achieve goals


Eligibility Requirements

  • 30-50% of the time to travel within US and globally
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA, Seattle, WA, or Boston, MA

  • MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively drive portfolio and investment decision to balance customer needs, install base requirements (refresh) and long term enterprise differentiation
  • Track record of evangelizing concepts beyond current offerings and driving business model innovation (product, service and delivery innovations)
  • Highly effective in collaborating with business to align pricing with GTM strategy
  • Track record of evangelizing impact of pricing strategy and business model innovation on business transformation
    Business Acumen
  • Proven ability to make strategic partnering decisions for the product line including the creation of new inbound/outbound channels

  • Expertise in monitoring and shaping industry dynamics, trends, and policies and to shape a culture that proactively uses market intelligence to drive significant growth
  • Adept performing as a trusted advisor who consistently marshals the best company resources across business functions, including at the executive level, on behalf of the customer
    Leadership
  • Track record of success in setting & driving strategy for the organization in relation to upstream and downstream effects. Implementing and driving program/product strategy within the organization
  • Proven ability to set and change direction at the enterprise level by building and using direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas and leverages chains of indirect influence
  • Knowledge and ability to sell and improve the Program/Product Management process, its outcomes and ongoing results
