This role is part of our regional Onshore Wind Energy business, which covers Australia, New Zealand, North Asia and South East Asia.

Role Summary:
This key role is part of the Commercial/Technical Operations team supporting the On-shore Wind segment of the Renewables Business. in the Asia Pacific region. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for the preparation of proposals/bids, contract negotiation and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Lead the technical proposal development in ITO (Inquiry to Order) as a central member of the Commercial team of Sales, Commercial Leader (CL), Commercial Director (CD);
• Matrix leadership of the ITO technical team including Application Engineering, Product Engineering, Balance of Plant (BOP) Engineering and all other technical disciplines necessary for proposals;
• Function as the accountable ITO resource for ensuring high quality, well defined, fully-costed technical proposals, which help position Renewable to win profitable and executable orders;
• Owns the technical analysis of customer inquiries, requests for quotations (RFQ) or tenders to determine proposal requirements, technical deviations, scope of supply and winning strategies;
• ITO resource to support Sales in closing orders at any stage in ITO by providing technical expertise and timely response to customer requirements within / across segments, and where required operate as point of customer contact during early stage Sales process as part of site optimization/wind engineering work;
• Responsible for the ITO cycle time reduction, proposal quality improvement and technical risk analysis optimization;
• Leading technical transactional participant in the ITO Risk Processes for R0, R1, R2 and R3;
• Leading technical transactional participant in the handoff/transition into Order to Remittance (OTR) and associated critical processes, such as customer kickoff, first project review, etc. as applicable;
• Participation in commercial/technical functions such as Session I (SI), Session II (SII), Session C (SC), order forecasting, technical strategy development, technical risk management, technical issues resolution, TL tools developments & deployment, technical trainings, growth initiatives, six sigma initiatives etc. as requested by Commercial Director.

• Professional technical experience in the Renewables Industry, including wind resources assessment, wind turbine products, wind project basics is essential
• Demonstrated business / commercial acumen
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving abilities
• Relevant professional experience in proposals/bid preparation and contract negotiation
• Bachelor degree in Engineering
• Ability to perform effectively in a non-hierarchical, team type environment.
• Ability to travel as required domestically with some international travel in the ASEAN region.
• Fluency in English
• Hold the appropriate entitlement to work in Australia & New Zealand at date of application (Permanent Resident of Australia or an Australian Citizen or New Zealand Citizen).
