Role Summary:
The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician will perform repairs, and modifications on various electrical and mechanical systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition you will :


  • Perform repairs and modifications on electrical and mechanical systems of varying process equipment
  • Troubleshoot problems as they occur and assist in resolving issues
  • Perform instrumentation (electronic and mechanical) calibrations
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and vendor drawings to facilitate equipment repairs
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to prevent equipment downtime
  • Complete and comply with all required compliance training
  • Complete all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) training and participate on safety audits

    Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on maintenance experience (electrical, instrumentation, mechanical)
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on instrumentation calibration experience

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, as needed, including weekends and holidays
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience working with PLC’s
  • Electrical and / or Instrumentation Certification
