Role Summary:
Unison Industries. a wholly owned subsidiary of GE Aviation, is a world leader in the design & manufacture of electrical components, sensors and systems for aircraft, industrial, marine, military & space. Unison's products span the globe and can be found on almost anything flying - from two place trainer airplanes to giant 747's and rockets traveling to space. We presently have an opening for a 3rd shift Vacuum Furnace Operator 3.

Essential Responsibilities:
 Participate in and support team initiatives; Receive guidance from Level 4 employees.
 Cross-train other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience.
 Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation.
 Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of new issues and/or processes, etc.
 Select and obtain tools fixtures and programs to anneal & harden a wide variety of metal parts & components.
 Assemble and braze metal and ceramic parts using a variety of braze alloys.
 Must possess the ability to interpret process sheets/print specifications and apply strict specifications, while working within close tolerances.
 Operate and maintain multiple furnaces in accordance with NQWI 4.09.2.16 standards
 Enter program data, change over, adjust equipment, vary temperatures, timing, furnace internal atmospheric conditions by introduction or evacuation of gases as specified or directed.
 Effectively & efficiently produce parts according to certification and quality guidelines.
 May assist with proto-types or first time builds.
 Assist in maintenance and calibration support groups in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment.
 Record and log data and verify completeness of documentation to comply with NADCAP requirements.
 Must have a minimum of 90 days on the job training before certification, and annually recertify in accordance with TP-004 Vacuum Braze Checklist.
 Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
 Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of new processes and/or issues; Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
 Utilize proper PPE and safety equipment; Other duties as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Knowledge:
Education Required: High School Education and/or GED.
Experience Required: Precision manufacturing experience, preferably 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
Skill Level Required:
o Requires use of basic hand tools and measuring devices (verniers, micrometers, calipers, go-no go gauges, dial indicators, etc.)
o Basic understanding of blueprint interpretation and process sheet interpretation.
o Strong mechanical aptitude.; Perform basic mathematical conversion calculations.
o Proficient in use of basic computer applications,

Desired Characteristics:
 Past experience in a self-directed teaming environment
 Past experience in a manufacturing environment working with furnaces
 Lean manufacturing knowledge
