Role Summary:
We are looking for an intern / Master's Thesis Worker to join the Grid Solutions, Capacitors and Reactors Manufacturing Unit in Tampere. The internship period is full-time and lasts approx 12 to 18 months. The preferable starting date would be during March / April 2017.

Essential Responsibilities:
Your internship starts with a introduction period of 4-6 months in manufacturing operations and you will be given responsibilities in different development projects and studies, such as Lean and lead time in production. In addition you will have great opportunity to gain leadership experience by assisting staff supervisors in manufacturing shop operations. You will work closely with various stakeholders, both internally and externally.

After the familiarization period, you will start your Master's Thesis work, preferably in August 2017, with a subject related to manufacturing or productivity development.



Qualifications/Requirements:
You have a BSc degree from Technical University preferably from field of Electrical Engineering, Industrial Management or Automation, and you now are seeking for Master's Thesis opportunity and are able to start full-time work during already this spring.
  • Proven academic excellence throughout the educational career
  • Fluent in Finnish and in English, other language is being seen as an advantage
  • Good computer skills, especially advanced Excel skills are beneficial
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across functions
  • Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
  • Ability to lead small projects
  • Interest on people management
  • EU work permit


Desired Characteristics:
Some previous working experience, gained from manufacturing or industrial environment, is an asset. But above all; we value your enthusiasm and commitment to learn and ability to deliver results in an uncertain world.
