Role Summary: The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the integration, strategic direction and growth for the Magnetic Resonance (MR) Surgical and Interventional Business. This includes the product lines of MR guided interventions, MR surgical suites, MR Multi-modality and hybrid operating rooms, and MR Guided Focused Ultrasound.
Essential Responsibilities: 1. Lead the product definition and development process throughout the entire product life cycle. 2. Identify market opportunities and new product offerings in collaboration with Medical Advisory Boards, global/regional Marketing teams, Engineering and 3rd party OEM collaborators. 3. Managing effective cross-functional interface and communication across businesses and functions, including product development, engineering, manufacturing, clinical applications, services, quality and regulatory affairs, marketing and sales. 4. Manages all aspects of the product (s) life cycle starting with the detailed planning phase until the product is terminated. 5. Leading the strategic plan for offering development for Installed Base customers. 6. Maximizing the company profit over the product (s) entire life cycle. 7. Strategic and tactical supply management of existing products to market for multiple customers and applications. 8. Managing Platform Products fully recognizing the company benefit that can be obtained by facilitating the use of these for applications in other global business areas. 9. Define key research, technical and clinical innovation needs that feed the New Product Introduction pipeline.
Qualifications/Requirements: Qualifications: 1. Healthcare product/industry/technical acumen with a good understanding of the neurosurgical space 2. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Science, or other related field 3. 6+ years experience in product marketing, product development, or related field 4. Excellent oral and written communications skills 5. Strong analytical and process skills 6. Strong project management skills 7. Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment 8. Experience working in a global and cross-functional project team 9. Must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time, including international travel.
Quality Specific Goals: 1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines. 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Desired Characteristics: 1. MSc or PhD degree in Clinical Sciences, Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration or other related field 2. Strong Clinical and technical understanding of MRI 3. 5+ years experience in product marketing, product development or related field 4. Product Management/Marketing expertise, including: market trends/analysis, NPI process, product roadmap development, product life-cycle management, 5. Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams 6. Proven ability to work globally and manage a global product 7. Significant experience in neurosurgical field
