Role Summary: In the role of Quality Technician you will:
Lead Non-conforming material program in Longmont Controls project shop
Be the voice of quality and ear of quality within the Longmont Controls project shop
Track Audit Program Implementation and Follow up Findings, Continuous Improvement Investigations and CAPAs
Support effective Quality Metrics to all Control Solutions Longmont functions
Work with Chief Engineer’s Office to perform Cross Functional Root Cause Analysis on customer issues, Findings, non-conformances, field returns and product performance issues
Facilitate Line Stop Corrective and Preventive Actions
Employ ISO and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce Cost of Failure, improve quality of delivered solutions, and increase net promoter scores
Audit departments to the QMS, to verify procedure validity, functional compliance, and discover improvement opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement of the QMS by supporting cross-functional projects
Assist in developing, facilitating and reviewing LEAN projects
Assist with Document Management processes
Be an expert at SAP to set up Quality workflows and pull and analyze data – understand key architecture / tables
Associates Degree in Technology or Business from an accredited college or university
Minimum 5 years of experience working in a factory, power-plant or refinery in an Industrial Environment
Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
Ability and willingness to work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
Ability and willingness to be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability and willingness to be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
Quality (ISO-9001) experience
Demonstrated ability to mine data to deploy metrics that are actionable
Good Communication abilities
Track record of increasing responsibility within current organization
Track record of continuous learning, innovation and accomplishments
Able to work well in a team environment and independently
Electronics Technology Experience
Strong experience in SAP or other ERP system
