Role Summary:
Ownership and responsibility for secure design, architecture, and development of Aviation commercial digital products for external customers. Define and set the security strategy/roadmap for Aviation features, risk posture, and new security offerings as an enabler to the business. Deep technical expertise in Cyber Security domain with previous integration level experience in Application Security, Cloud Technologies, Strategy Development, and Influencing skills.

Essential Responsibilities:
In addition you will :

  • Function as cyber security thought leader, and owner for all aspects of security lifecycle in
    product release
    Identify platform / product gaps and incorporate influencing skills across product teams to
    prioritize and make sure Aviation security requirements are met
  • Ownership and development of the Aviation product security roadmap
    Approve security new feature requests
  • Act as security technology evangalist throughout Aviation and other GE Business Units
  • Define security reference architecture and frameworks to be used across Aviation products
    and services
    Work with a team of architects and developers, operational leads and functional owners to
    plan and implement security technical features
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, with shifting priorities
    Must be comfortable with change and actively driving improvements
  • Understand how new technologies impact the current environment
  • Champion the adoption of new technologies and drive the implementation into the GE
    environment


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Software Engineering from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 8 years of information systems secure design, implementation, or integration)
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Software Engineering involving secure product design,
    development, or test

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness and ability to Travel up to 25% of time
  • This
    role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent
    residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and
    Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to
    export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to
    employment.

    priorities and executes accordingly
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite of products such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
