Role Summary: The Commercial Proposal Specialist is responsible for developing and preparing commercial proposals, contract terms and conditions review, risk assessment, managing reviews with subject matter experts and delivering proposals in a timely manner to meet customer expectation and delivery company objectives.
Essential Responsibilities: • The Commercial Proposals Specialist is responsible to receive and review customer RFQs, prepare a list of actions to meet RFQ requirements, liaise with subject matter experts, risk review and assimilate this information to prepare a commercial proposal. • Responsible for all aspects of contract/RFQ review, including proposal development, risk management and mitigation, specification compliance, scope development, transactional pricing, customer negotiations, customer communications and issue resolution. • Lead the transactional deal process having the ability to structure creative, commercially and technically sound quality deals as well as fully manage associated contractual issues that arise over the life of the project. • Schedule deal reviews with relevant approvers process to ensure that all technical risk points, risk mitigation, and business risk acceptance levels are properly incorporated in the development of the scope, cost and proposal wording. • Review customer RFQ terms and conditions and develop, specific Terms and Conditions for standard Customer proposals based on Risk / Reward Analysis. • Ensure timely and comprehensive hand-over of won projects to the Order to Remission teams • Work as part of the Region Surface Commercial team to deliver the assigned objectives • Support the business to maintain the highest levels of compliance and integrity
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor's or higher degree in Commerce or Engineering from an accredited university • Knowledge of O&G Upstream industry from concept phase to delivered production • At least 5 years of commercial experience in the O&G industry with the ability to structure creative deals for customer solutions, negotiate contracts, and deal effectively with customers, including ability to review of customer terms and conditions. • Strong analytical, teamwork, communication and presentation skills • Strong oral and written communication skills in English • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills • Technical background and ability to analyze and process complex information
Desired Characteristics: • Knowledge of Artificial Lift technologies (ESP, RLS, PCP…) • Prior experience in commercial finance, contract negotiation and execution • Strong business acumen • Knowledge of how transactions affect the business model (both GE and customer) • Knowledge of legal aspects and implications of contracts, terms and conditions, negotiation, etc to allow constructing contracts with minimizing risk • Ability to influence and lead cross functional teams • Six Sigma training is preferred • French and Arabic Language capability
