Role Summary: Working in the Tendering Team her/his mission is to prepare offers to reach the Service unit growth and profit targets in line with customer request and in the respect of GE Grid Solutions sales policy and practices. Coordinating with all internal customers and external suppliers in conjunction with the unit Sourcing Department. Interfacing with the operations and engineering teams of SSP unit and Grid Products..
Essential Responsibilities: Coordinate GO/NO GO decisions with the Tendering Manager according to the applicable process and develop evidence (documented results) Review customer specifications and bid requirements for completeness and obtain clarifications from sales, engineering, legal, taxes, logistic and other departments, as needed Ensuring that all bids submitted are commercially and technically compliant meet customer expectations and limit the risks to GE Grid Solutions Ensuring that all the procedures specified in the Tendering Management Handbook are followed Define internal Division of Responsibility and due dates for cost estimate and proposal preparation to ensure timely submission Prepare detailed integrated cost estimates and proposals requiring multi-discipline and inter-departmental or intercompany participation including GE units, Electrical Equipment, Workshop, Transportation, Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety and sub-suppliers in conjunction with the SSP Sourcing department Coordinate and review of terms & conditions with legal experts (legal, taxes, logistic) and include the appropriate GE standards in the proposals Analyze risks and prepare risk review documents ROR Determine/define commercial parameters and verify that commercial terms and cost calculations match the risk analysis Coordinating project schedule preparation in line with the proposal Participating in the tender approval process according to GE Rules and procedures Support opportunity tracking in Speak updating tender information Prepare "as sold" estimates Lead the hand off process of sold projects to Project Managers. Arrange transfer meeting in the unit according to the standards and produce Support project execution for clarifications and any additional scope (change order) work
Participate and present or review in technical and program reviews
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with significant experience in Engineering Significant experience in Engineering position EU Work Permit Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring. GE will not sponsor this requirement.
