Role Summary: The Lead DQA Engineer is responsible to provide direction in the areas of Design Controls & Risk Management to cross-functional teams responsible for new product development. This includes quality duties in the following areas: design controls, risk management, change control, quality planning, and establishment of appropriate requirements management and traceability.
In addition you will :
Ensure compliance with global quality systems and regulatory requirements such as design controls, risk analysis / management tools, investigations, CAPAs, etc. to assure development hardware and software quality
Evaluate verification and validation protocols and reports to ensure compliance to internal & external standards
Establish and execute project quality plan, witness-points, quality records for compliance with contract
Ensure customer quality requirement, Feedback of Experience (FOE) / Lessons Learned are taken into account in the tender proposal to avoid deviation and to continually improve execution processes
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA Engineering
Experience in Software Design utilizing DO-178 industry standards preferred
Effective communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Effective problem solving skills
Ability to influence at all levels in the organization
Green belt certified, preferred Black Belt certification
Quality Assurance experience in auditing and process evaluation (complex systems or software preferred and highly desired)
Understanding of development life cycle and new product introduction process
Ability to effectively lead in a team environment
Experience with lab conformity
CMMI experience a plus
