Role Summary: Develop, lead and execute sourcing strategies for electrical mechanical and electrical commodities such as circuit breakers, connectors, terminals, sockets, receptacles, fuses, switches, relays and wire and cables. You will work effectively in a matrixed organization with Energy Connections P&Ls, regional Poles, COEs and Sites sourcing people to optimize resources and maximize leverage globally. This position functions as an industry sourcing expert for the Electronic / EMD commodities.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Senior Sourcing Manager - Electrical Products Commodity, you will:
Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels
Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers
Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement
Perform commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. Which may also include purchasing activities
Be considered a senior and seasoned practitioner
Develop strategies and drives negotiations to meet the quality, fulfillment and productivity requirements of the business
Have authority in the network of experts and in project teams
Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects
Present product / program strategies, Sourcing roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders (EB and SEB) across GE
Input and influence decisions within own discipline and area
Communicate recommendations and solutions across direct organization and with cross-functional partner organizations.
Be involved in complex decision making sometimes with external parties
Regularly advise management in the function and/or in the business
Have a supportive role in decision making about important subjects
Act frequently as a project leader in projects involving the business and other functions
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent knowledge/experience
Significant Sourcing experience, including Demonstrated experience in a global environment
Atlanta, GA is the preferred location, however other EC locations may be considered.

Master’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent knowledge/experience
Strong negotiation experience with knowledge and experience negotiating contract term, identifying opportunities, selecting suppliers, and sourcing strategy
Ability to effectively work across poles, cultures and time zones to provide strong support to global stakeholders
Proven change agent with excellent facilitative leadership, problem solving skills, and ability to influence at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated team player with a strong initiative to win
Strong project / program management experience with a winning track record
Six Sigma and/or Critical Path Method (CPM) certification or equivalent Quality certification
Prior sourcing experience in negotiating, and implementing contracts
Strong quantitative and data analysis skills
Process leadership experience such as CAP, Work-Out, process improvement, or quality
American Production & Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification
Oracle Purchasing system experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
