Role Summary:
The Tester I will work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment that manufactures and tests filter elements by setting up, loading, operating and reading testing equipment in accordance with prescribed processes. You will perform quality workmanship and keep scheduled deadlines to meet customer expectations.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, you will:

  • Observe all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) rules, including housekeeping practices; participate in EHS meetings, investigations, and audits. Proactively communicate and address safety concerns
  • Understand Testing safety, quality and production goals; actively engage in meeting these goals
  • Set-up and monitor machine operations according to standard operating instructions
  • Prep, load, and operate testing equipment
  • Handle, measure and mix chemicals in accordance with prescribed methods and testing requirements
  • Inspect products to ensure there are no visual defects; take corrective action as needed
  • Accurately test and perform data entry of results in manual logs or computer system
  • Inspect and package product to manufacturing specifications
  • Communicate production related issues in a timely manner to all levels (managers, co-workers, maintenance, engineers, etc.)
  • Perform tasks in accordance with quality and regulatory requirements
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by Supervisor, Facilitator, or Lead
  • Be responsible for any other duties assigned



Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, as required
  • Ability and willingness to work occasional weekend shifts, as required
  • Ability and willingness to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, safety shoes, and a respirator, as required
  • Ability and willingness to work with chemicals, including acids, as required
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.




Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Basic SAP experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to perform basic computer input
  • Strong communication skills and ability to learn and understands all policies, practices, and procedures
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Quality inspection experience
