Role Summary: The Tax Controller is responsible for tax reporting and compliance for GE Renewable Energy Onshore Wind reporting to the Global Tax Director. The primary focus is financial reporting of the Business’s tax assets and liabilities and coordination and preparation of the Business’s inputs into US tax return.
Essential Responsibilities: Function as integral member of the Finance team with responsibility for complete, accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance Member of the team managing and closing the quarterly tax books including required reporting to HQ. Items include ETR, FIN48, Balance sheet flux, etc. Responsible for financial reporting of tax assets and liabilities including; o Identification, tracking and accruals of qualified amended return adjustments for US tax filings Preparation of the US return-to-provision o Review of Non-US RTAs where required o Quarterly reconciliations of income tax accounts, where applicable (PY2 payables related to QARs and 901 credits) Coordination and preparation of the Business’s inputs into US tax return including; o Preparation of the US tax return DCS feeds, including business guidance to Corporate on items such as DMD, R&D, etc o US cash settlement process with GE Corporate Tax Business maintenance owner for GOLDnet (GE’s Legal Entity Database) Special projects as they arise
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Finance). Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Tax Operations.
