GE is on the leading edge of the Industrial Internet of things (IIOT). GE’s Predix is a distributed application platform designed specifically for digital industrial organizations. Predix combines physical machine/asset models with algorithmic computing to deliver better performance Report to the VP for security and edge technologies.
This role requires a creative, technically astute and dynamic individual with experience marketing B2B solutions to developers, ISV’s, and system integrators. It will leverage the right candidate’s strengths and experience in technology positioning, technical acumen, written and verbal communication, and program execution.
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to) strategy, positioning, messaging, competitive analysis, enablement, content development, thought leadership initiatives, customer engagement, requirements gathering, analyst and media relations.
In this role, you will:
Work with product managers, partner and alliance teams, and other key stakeholders to define the overall portfolio strategy for edge technologies
Analyze, size, and prioritize target apps, services, and customer segments. Drive understanding of market size and potential, and buyer personas and behaviors, and translate those market requirements into Edge packaging and pricing; positioning and messaging; and distribution and support strategies.
Support direct and indirect sales teams with compelling and differentiated messaging, sales tools and training, objection handling, and persona-specific sales plays.
Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders on go-to-market execution including product management, analyst relations, communications, digital and social marketing, campaigns, and partner marketing.
Present to audiences of prospects, customers, and partners.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field from an accredited university or college
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in strategic marketing, product marketing, market analysis, consumer insights, sales/branding or related field experience
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.

MBA a plus
10+ years in product marketing roles, with strong emphasis on B2B enterprise software.
Self-starting, dynamic and articulate product marketer with interest and experience in IOT and/or IIOT technologies
Knowledge and experience with platform technologies
Knowledge and experience with enterprise software
Knowledge and experience with embedded systems, edge devices, and networking is a big plus
Must have experience in system connectivity, and ICS or OT systems
Knowledge in OT and IT cyber security is a big plus
Knowledge of distributed application architectures is a big plus,
Strong business analysis and problem solving skills
