Role Summary: In this role you will lead testing processes for India loco cabinets program. You will be responsible for establishing the testing set-up & running it efficiently with zero defect.
Essential Responsibilities: - Lead development ,installation & qualification of testing facility for India loco cabinets program - Develop procedures & tools required for product testing in line with global practices & QMS - Train production associates on product testing & troubleshooting - Own day to day product testing including scheduling, troubleshooting to meet build plan & output as per takt time - Maintain test equipment up-time – no lost starts, proper PM/calibration processes and test processes that meet takt time - Coordinate the repair of failed equipment, ensuring it is sent out and received in a timely manner - Plan for spares and cables & ensure their availability - Determine root cause of test equipment failure. Collaborate with test development team for process improvement & optimization - Collaborate between TTA, quality, and manufacturing to create and implement testing procedures that meet applicable product, process, safety requirements & takt time - Analyze test data trends and provide detailed fault data to manufacturing team. Capture test data like No Fault Found, Yield, Test Cycle Time - Coordinate the test data collection, retention & retrieval.
Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline - 5-8 years hands on experience in High voltage electrical panel testing & trouble shooting - Prior experience & knowledge in testing of IGBTs , capacitors, reactors, high voltage cables, control systems - High level of electrical drawings/schematics/standards understanding - Contribute to RCA’s (root cause analysis) and execute corrective actions - Strong EHS Background
