Role Summary:
The Lead Analysis Engineer will be the sites specialist in regards to analysis. The Lead Analysis Engineer will support the Surface & Pressure Control organisation locally and globally when required, with analysis engineering issues and actively contribute to the technical development of the engineering organisation. They are also to interact with the other technical departments to optimise on time delivery.


Essential Responsibilities:

Ensure EHS compliance at all times

  • Ensure 100% EHS training conducted on time
  • Report any EHS issues
  • Responsible for the quality of the work performed in the department
  • Log activity of the tasks assigned and take ownership in follow up and on time delivery
  • Ensure 100% on time GE learning training
  • Create yearly individual training plan together with Manager
  • Follow through on agreed training plan
  • Knowledge /experience sharing within the department

Technical
  • Support Cost, Time Resources (CTR) process and scoping of analysis engineering activities, when needed
  • Technical support function for Projects/Products
  • Customer contact – technical clarifications and meetings
  • Provide support in regards to analysis and assessment of structural integrity
  • Review customer requirements (design criteria, analysis), handle deviations to customer specifications
  • Perform FEM analysis
  • Perform hand calculations
  • Create Design Verification Package DVPs and analysis reports
  • Participate in pre-production meetings, if needed
  • Support quality surveillance activities , audit activities and closing of audit findings as needed
  • Understand process for installing and updating the software
  • Support/Mentor junior staff
  • Overview of all work in progress
  • Strong interaction between departments and also active on a global basis
  • Knowledge /experience sharing in a global level
  • Proficient in Ansys
  • Proficient in Mathcad
  • Willing to take ownership and ensuring procedures stay aligned with global analysis team
  • Understanding of API 6A and ASME VIII


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of International & National Regulations & Standards
  • Deep knowledge of Mathcad & ANSYS or equivalent analytical tools & proven track record
  • Deep experience in performing FEM
  • Demonstrated aptitude to face new challenges and continuously develop expertise and experience
