Role Summary: The business analyst uses domain and business process expertise to convey detailed product requirements in the form of epics, user stories and/or Level 2 and Level 3 requirements, together with supporting artefacts, to the Engineering software development teams.
Essential Responsibilities: The business analyst supports the translation of the functional and non-functional requirements, articulated in the Product Requirements Documents and UX vision, into the various levels of user stories / Requirements that express the business needs of the customer into the product backlog for successful project delivery. In this role, the Business Analyst will ensure that technical requirements for the near-term upcoming development are elaborated to a sufficiently level of detail, such that the delivery team is enabled to estimate, plan and commit to delivery with high confidence. • Capture the voice of the customer to drive business process definitions and product needs. • Ensure that the features in the Level 1 requirements produced by Product Management are clearly expressed such that they can be understood by the Engineering development teams and stakeholders alike. • Review and approve the Product Requirements Document (PRD) before any release development starts. • Collaborates with the Customers, Product Managers, UX Team and the Projects and Services teams to articulate the features described in the PRD, into user Stories and/or Level 2 and Level 3 requirements ahead of the development starting. • Collaborate with Product Management to prioritize scope for releases. • Collaborate closely with the UX team to ensure technical requirements and all other artefacts align with UX designs and vision. • Work across functions to define user story/requirement acceptance criteria and ensure test solutions are representative of customer use. • Own and drive product demonstrations to stakeholders. • Ensure the Product Documentation elicit all Product Requirements. • Support the business on key customer bids, projects, and issue resolutions. • Drive process definitions and improvements.
• Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or related degree from an accredited institution or equivalent level of experience • An understanding of best practice business analysis methods and tools • Strong problem solving abilities • Experience working with Agile software development methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, XP) • Able to work under minimal supervision • High energy, results driven person with strong interpersonal skills • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity • Able to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility
