Role Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and managing a Travel & Fleet spend of $1.5b. This is a dynamic category requiring exceptional skills and experience in Travel & Fleet.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Role can be located in the following approved locations: Cincinnati, Monterrey, Budapest, Pudong, Atlanta, Waukesha, Houston, Sao Paulo, Mexico City, Kuala Lumpur, Bangalore, Chennai, Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Moscow, London, Uppsala, Dubai, Cairo, Johannesburg, Istanbul, Lagos, Munich, Garching, Mississagua, City Lights
  • Ensuring
    value for money is delivered whilst demonstrating full compliance in all 3rd
    party contracts through analysis, planning, negotiation
  • Supplier relationship management – create governance,
    monitor and report performance, improve contracts where appropriate
  • Lead market trend analysis, external benchmarking, spend analysis, supplier rationalization and development, supplier risk, performance and compliance monitoring, and ongoing supplier management and governance
  • Lead the supplier selection, qualification, development, and overall supplier management, including drafting, managing and terminating contracts
  • Execute regional cost reduction projects through contract negotiation, process changes, and implementation of sustainable cost controls, including collaboration with Finance to validate the impact of projects and contract negotiations to the general ledger
  • Leverage technical/market expertise from global T2 and regional T1 commodity leaders
    Create and enforce policies to drive/enable the commodity strategy, drive process improvement/simplification, and optimize Sourcing resources that deliver improved operational efficiency and/or enhance the value to the businesses
  • Partner with Deploy organization to ensure appropriate support, fulfillment and quality requirements meet business expectations
  • Identify and assess supplier capabilities; measure and manage supplier performance
  • Collaborate and influence stakeholders and peers to develop and Commodity strategy


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • 5+ years solid sourcing
    experience in Travel & Fleet within a global role
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time


Desired Characteristics:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering
  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Strong quantitative and data analysis skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and improve processes
  • Change agent with ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Process leadership experience such as CAP, Work-Out, process improvement, or quality is preferred (Internal GE employees only)
  • CPM or APICS certification
  • Six Sigma trained & certified
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to to lead in a matrixed organization
  • Comfortable
    structuring a new role, with high level of initiative and a clear focus
    on delivering results
