Role Summary:
Leads the commercial efforts and support the Renewables Sales Team on the On Shore Wind Aftermarket with deal strategy, pricing recommendations, terms, and customer negotiations for Operations and Maintenance Contracts, CMU (Upgrades), PowerUp and Strategic Parts Program sales for non-GE and GE units.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with all internal functions as necessary and insures that all functions are represented in the commercial process during the sale of Service Contracts to support the financial goals
  • Develops & drafts commercial contract templates for new products such as Full Service O&M agreements, Upgrades, Parts & Repair Program and others offers in close coordination with the European Services Product Line Manager, Risk, the Services Commercial Director & other relevant functions
  • Drives market scoping to quote for non-GE units looking for parts suppliers, strategic support partners & market knowledge for specific capital components
  • Develops winning strategies to close profitable and executable orders for the highly competitive Wind Services segment in the extended European region
  • Provides interface with counterparts in sales on prescribed transactions including non-GE & installed base GE units through the Risk Process
  • Mobilizes and leads multifunctional support teams to implement the transaction strategy (Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Contracts, Project Mgt. Legal, Pricing, Product Line, others)
  • Be principal owner & driver of the O&M proposal details related to pricing, technical, financial, legal and commercial inputs to lead the deal closure
  • Participates in Quality initiatives to drive process rigor, simplification and other improvements
  • Supports & drives in his/her projects/deals the achievement of the Commercial team metrics related to Orders, Sales and Margin
  • Ensures the transfer of GE knowledge, procedures & rigor to non-GE fleets offers
  • Tides up external suppliers and partners into GE proposals for non-GE & GE units


    • Bachelor Degree in Technology, Engineering or Business from an accredited institution
    • Significant experience in Marketing, Sales, Commercial, Customer Service or equivalent experience associated with wind or with the Energy Industry
    • Significant prior experience with customer specification review, proposal development, contract development, and/or negotiations for equipment or service sales
    • Significant technical-commercial experience with Non-GE Wind Turbine brands
    • Knowledge of the wind market including strategic suppliers and partners for non-GE fleet
    • Self-motivated, independent person capable to labor internal & external organizations to achieve defined targets
    • Strong Communications skills, ability to interface with all levels of internal and customer personnel
    • Ability to travel as necessary
    • Six Sigma Training - Green or Black Belt or Quality Management/Auditor degree (internal)
    • Speaks fluently English to negotiate & draft complex contracts, add’l languages such as Spanish, French or German are a plus
    • EU Work Permit

    Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring. GE will not sponsor this requirement.

    Desired Characteristics:

    • MBA Degree from an accredited institution
    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple transactions simultaneously
