Role Summary:
The Management of Change and Documentation Specialist will play a critical role in the implementation and administration of the Document Management System.

Essential Responsibilities:

Administer document management changes for engineering deliverables including :


  • 2d drawings (e.g., autocad)
  • 3d models (e.g., PDS)
  • Project Scopes of Work
  • Equipment and Material Specifications
  • Equipment Maintenance and Operations Manuals
  • Control System Configuration (software logic)
  • Make minor revisions / changes to 2d drawings, and 3d models in response to minor modifications performed at the Site
  • Read and understand engineering drawings and confirm as-built conditions in the field as required
  • Collaborate across plant and construct communication in written form to a broad and diverse organization
  • Apply Organizational Skills to develop and design intuitive information retrieval systems
  • Work in accordance with Plant Safety, Environmental and PSM requirements

    Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (OR a 2 Year Technical Degree in the Field of Engineering {e.g., chemical, mechanical, electrical} from an accredited school or institution with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering role)

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :


  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
  • Work overtime as needed including weekends and holidays

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Computer skills: understand databases and how they work (Word, Excel)
  • Team Player and strong communication skills
  • Prior experience with Management of Change in a Process Safety Management environment is desirable
  • Prior experience in establishing a Document Management System in a Chemical Plant or Manufacturing Environment is highly desirable
