Role Summary: The following role is in GE Capital’s Industrial Finance Solutions platform as a credit and risk leader. This platform’s strategy is to provide existing financing products and create new financing products and programs in support of GE Company’s Industrial business customers. GE IFS is GE Company’s first captive-like financing company. While the responsibilities will be global in nature, much of the anticipated growth in financing opportunities is in emerging markets.
• Using your previous Captive Finance experience, you will help the new Industrial Finance business unit to structure new product and program offerings in support of GE Industrial businesses and see through execution. • Leveraging your deep domain expertise of intercompany procedures and tax and accounting considerations, you will enable the proper structuring of arm’s length transactions on market terms. • Working cross-functionally with sales, tax, compliance, governance and industrial platform’s management, you will understand customer needs and match those needs to the overall GE Company business plan. • Your expertise in international loans and leases and cross-border denominated deals will allow you to perfect interests and limit risks to GE Company’s balance sheet. • Your deep domain in all aspects of credit underwritings and portfolio management will result in the wing-to-wing deal process, from underwriting, through approval and documentation, to portfolio management and successful conclusion of facility. • Your experience in collateral valuations in multiple jurisdictions will be leveraged to help structure financing options to enable GE orders while minimizing risk. • Your collaboration skills will form a supportive relationship with the capital markets and syndication process and teams. • Your presentation and analytical skills will be exercised as you conduct financial and collateral analysis and present findings to senior management. • Clear and consistent approach to mitigate environmental, legal, regulatory, and other risks.
• Extensive prior experience in structuring and underwriting for a Captive Financing organization. • Candidate with proven years in Captive Finance organization; and Bachelor’s Degree with significant years of experience in commercial lending; or high school diploma/ GED and extensive years of commercial lending experience or equivalent knowledge and experience. • Exposure to Oil and Gas, Power, Healthcare and Digital sectors an asset. • Experience financing bundled solutions covering both hard asset values and soft costs/servicing an asset. • Prior experience in financial statement analysis, financial modeling and valuation. • Ability to communicate with all segments of the organization and present outcomes to Sr management
