Role Summary: Performs a series of steps in the disassembly and reassembly of electronic products. These steps are performed in accordance with applicable military specifications in an attempt to identify and correct the cause of failure or malfunctions.
Essential Responsibilities: • Performs disassembly and re-assembly steps with minimal instruction to a variety of top assembly chassis, as well as, the sub-assemblies and components that make them up • Follows operation sheets, engineering drawings and engineering change orders in completion of the assembly tasks • Exercises care to ensure that each step in the process is completed correctly and that each assembly or finished product meets the quality specifications • Notifies the appropriate personnel of any problems associated with the disassembly or reassembly process • Maintains records as required to charge direct labor time to specific product amounts • Performs duties using a variety of hand tools and related production equipment • Provides training and mentoring for other employees as required • Performs other routine operations within fairly similar situations as required • Provide written and/or oral communications concerning a variety of situations • Keeps workstation, tools and equipment in a neat and orderly manner • Understands and complies with all Company, safety rules and regulations • Engages and participates in a self – directed teaming environment
Qualifications/Requirements: Education Required: High School Diploma or GED 3-5 years of Electronics Assembly work experience using IPC-610-A & J-Std Standards ; must take & pass Solder/ Wiring assessment Skill Level Required: Skills required in maintaining close tolerances, complex assembly and disassembly using tools & gages, advanced operation sheets and drawings; worked at IPC 610 A & J-Std 001 Standards; must obtain and maintain IPC 610 A, J-Std 001 & IPC-7711 within 6 months; Good level of knowledge of manufacturing processes Basic computer skills; Should possess dexterity skills, good hand & eye coordination Must take visual acuity exam
Desired Characteristics: Past experience in a manufacturing environment IPC-A-610 Certification &./or J-STD-001Certification IPC-7711 Certification Past work experience in a self-directed teaming environment Lean manufacturing knowledge IPC-7721 Certification
